Jolly Ngabirano (born in 1961, died in 2018) worked in different government bodies including Uganda Revenue Authority. She was a business woman, an entrepreneur who founded many businesses, including Cafe PAP.[1] Ngabirano passed on in 2018 due to cancer in a hospital in German.[2]

Background and Education

Ngabirano was born in Nyakiju village, Buyanja sub-county, Rukungiri district, southwestern Uganda, into a pastoralist and devout Christian family to Gladys and Yeremiah Nyakairima.[3]

After completing her primary leaving exams at Nyakaina Primary School in Uganda, she enrolled at Mary Hill High School, where she took the senior four and six exams. Later, she attended Makerere University Kampala, Kampala District, Uganda, where she earned a degree in political science.

Additionally, she received her degree in public administration. ⁣[1]

Work

Ngabirano worked with the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) as a principal revenue officer and then moved on to work with the Coffee Marketing Board as a personal assistant to the board secretary.

She was an entrepreneur, a businessperson, and the founder of numerous companies, including those in the coffee and hospitality industries.[4] Ngabirano was a proprietor Ihamba Lakeside Safari Lodge ( Elizabeth National Park ) and CAFÉ Pap(est.2004), one of Uganda’s brewers of super quality coffee in Uganda[5]

Jolly was a sibling to the Late Aronda Nyakairima and was married to Mr. Henry Ngabirano in 1988. She gave birth to three children.[3]
